We are Laure and Sylvain (Farmer Syl) and we will be your hosts during your stay at Country Kids. We live on site with our two young daughters Mila and Emy. We both attained our MBA degrees in tourism and set out on career paths working for large hotel chains. After the birth of our first daughter we decided to search for a new family focussed lifestyle. One where quality family time would not have to be compromised for the excitement of a demanding job.

We are Laure and Sylvain (Farmer Syl) and we will be your hosts during your stay at Country Kids. We live on site with our two young daughters Mila and Emy. We both attained our MBA degrees in tourism and set out on career paths working for large hotel chains. After the birth of our first daughter we decided to search for a new family focussed lifestyle. One where quality family time would not have to be compromised for the excitement of a demanding job.
This is how we discovered this little paradise called Country Kids. Straight away, we felt that was the perfect place for us . Since 2007 Country Kids has been welcoming happy families for their dream holidays in the South of France. We decided to take up the reigns in 2015 when we took over the resort from it's creators, Tracey and Stuart.
Each week, we welcome seven families with the help of our team of 20 staff members including; our on-site chef, qualified childcare and hospitality professionals, meticulous housekeeping and grounds crew and on-site beautician/massage therapist. We also work closely with some dedicated and trusted on site contractors including a professional tennis coach, swimming instructor and yoga teacher to name but a few.
Together, on our exclusive setting deep in the french countryside we can guarantee the best family holiday you’ve ever experienced. We continue to work hard to give our 5 star luxury family resort an effortless feel in this intimate and that’s why 70% of our guests rebook, year after year.

Comfy cushion clad sofas and armchairs are many, so there’s always somewhere to relax with that book you’ve been meaning to read. Wide open and under the shade of the trees in the height of summer and closed in those cooler evenings under the canopy of warming lights, it’s where you will spend lots of your time. Fresh pastries and crusty baguettes are to be enjoyed with barista quality coffee first thing in the morning. Lunch is ordered and can be taken on one of those comfy sofas or down by the pool. It’s up to you. Catch up with other guests at the daily tea time over a slice of creamy cake before your afternoon swim in the pool with the kids.
The shop is stocked with everything you could possibly need to have a truly worry free holiday. A shelve packed with, ready to eat, local meals to discover as well as crowd pleasing French classics. You’ll also find our extensive DVD library for those cosy evenings in on the sofa. Need some nappies or suncream? No worries, along with a fridge full of fresh goods and shelves stocked with everything you need if you fancy cooking, we stock everything else you may need but have forgotten to pack.
Select a bottle from our wine cellar, ‘La Cave’, which has been carefully stocked with the best the region has to offer. Enjoy a glass as an ‘apero’ before family dinner or your evening out. Choose one of our craft beers while you play yet another game of Boules with the other guests.
Our spirit selection has something for all tastes. Smokey single malts, small batch local gins, spiced rums and even old classics such as Pimm’s are all there for you. Weekly cocktail night is the best time to explore the selection, where we have something for everyone on our comprehensive list.
This isn’t just a luxury resort with world-class childcare, it’s a place where you can have grownup social time, too.

Pony-riding
Popular with kids of all ages. Whether it’s toddlers first introduction to horses or riding lessons for the more experienced, our trusted partner will adapt to suit your child’s needs. Fun and games with new four-legged friends is on the menu in this stunning countryside setting, a stone’s throw from the resort.
Swimming
Our experienced swimming instructor can help with all needs from babies first introduction to water to improving your butterfly form. He is also a fantastic water aerobics and aqua bike instructor, which are also available activities for the whole family in our huge outdoor heated pool.
Tree-top Adventure
Climb, weave and fly through the tree tops of a stunning forest as a family. The park is arranged in courses according to age groups and graded in difficulty, so there is something for everyone from 4 years and up.
Yoga
Country Kids’ certified yoga instructor leads private and group yoga classes for the adults and the family. Lessons are offered in a quiet corner of our luxury estate. Yoga mat and brick are available to borrow at anytime during your stay.
Tennis
The court is on-site with rackets and balls provided. You can get on the court for a family knock about or play as a couple whilst we watch the kids. Our tennis pro is available to teach private lessons for any age at any level.
Cycling
We are in the middle of three mountainous national parks. Host to endless challenging climbs and thrilling descents for road cyclists, hundreds of well signed adventurous dusty off road tracks for mountain bikers and beautiful sun drenched paths through the vineyards for e-bikers. We have it all and of course we’ve got the bikes on site for you to use!
Water sports
We are lucky to be right next to Lac du Salagou, who’s geology and its biodiversity make it a truly unique spot. Canoeing, paddle boarding, windsurfing, pedalos and the ever-popular electric boats are just a few of the activities available to you. Or just grab a picnic and spend the day on one of its many beaches for some quality family time.

The Region
Country Kids Resort is on the grounds of our exclusive private estate called Le Mas Pandit, which is in the village of Octon, in the Occitanie region. This part of France is a real hidden gem and is rich in its history traditions and culture. It has a thriving tourist trade, but mainly with the French, as they understand it’s true value. So, while you’re here, you’ll be holidaying like the French!
The Hérault is made for family holidays in the south of France. It is known for its rustic old stone buildings, lively markets, Mediterranean beaches and of course, it’s wine. Lac du Salagou, just at the bottom of the hill, is a jewell and a fantastic place to walk, cycle, swim, picnic and explore. We have spent many happy hours there with our two kids, climbing the rocks and swimming the inlets while soaking up the sun-drenched scenery.
