It’s a new and ever-changing world out there where air is travel favoured less and less for various reasons. Lots of our guests have asked for alternative ways to get to us. Many choose to travel by road, and we can help make it stress free and even a chance to extend your holiday and discover new parts of France along the way.
We all have memories of those family holidays on the road in France. Where we crammed everything but the kitchen sink into the car leaving barely enough room for the family to fit in. Tennis rackets, pool toys, scooters, food shopping, baby supplies all blocking your rear-view mirror and falling onto the kids in the rear. Don’t even talk about the bikes hanging off the back!
Country Kids is a family ready resort in the South of France with everything you need on site waiting for you. Our self-contained family ready accommodation comes fully loaded for family fun so all you need to pack is yourselves and swimsuits! The apartments are also fully equipped for families with new-borns and infants.
And yes, we also have tennis rackets, pool toys and bikes free for use by everyone! Our on-site bar, grocery shop, wine cellar and Chef mean that you don’t have to pack the car with a trip to the supermarket either.
On the road !
France has a huge network of fantastic free flowing roads with electrical charging points for all vehicles available along the way meaning it’s possible to get to us carbon free with your Tesla or electric car!
For fun filled family adventures along the way, our bespoke holiday planning service can help plan your stress-free route to us.
- Take the Eurotunnel to Calais and head down the east of France with a stop off for a visit to Burgundy with an overnight stay in Beaune. The next day, head down the Rhone valley and take a trip along the Mediterranean coast to us.
- Take the ferry to Saint Malo just in time for a lunch break in the medieval half-timbered city of Rennes. Then make your way south for a stop off in a chateau on the banks of the Loire. The next day head for Vulcania before crossing the incredible Millau Viaduct into the Cevennes, where you’ll find us shortly after.
Car free, no problem. Jump on the Eurostar to Paris! Take advantage and explore the capital city for a day or two or just hop on a train to either Montpellier St Roch or Gare de Montpellier Sud de France. Car hire is possible from here on out but if you don’t drive, we can arrange a pickup for you.
Holidaying as a family in the south of France without air travel is possible and doesn’t have to be stressful. However, you choose to come to us we are here to help. Contact Laure & Sylvain to find out more about your next adventure en route to Country Kids !
